COSHH: Target Audience: TMO Staff Course Brief Description: This training course covers all the information necessary to keep staff safe from substances that could be potentially harmful to their health. It covers the risks associated with hazardous substances, as well as providing an understanding of control measures and emergency procedures. It also identifies which substances can be hazardous and how they can be harmful, everyday storage and use of chemicals and hazardous substances, as well as covering COSHH risk assessments and what they are used for. Objectives: a) Show commitment to complying with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002 legislation. b) Everyone in the workplace will be competent to carry out their work safely. c) All levels of staff and management should be able to recognise the potential hazards posed by their work. d) Identify hazardous substances as well as their warning labels and the appropriate protection measures. e) Be able to take action to reduce or eliminate the risks and understand the role of personal protection in ensuring good occupational health.
